Plantfolk branding and website design

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Plantfolk, a Riversun nursery company, approached us to take on a variety of work. The project focus was to create a public-facing e-commerce site to sell avocado trees direct to the public. My role was to help them to discover the requirements of the inventory and admin capabilities, as well as brand strategy, user flows, and personas. After branding and prototyping, we built the site and delivered it before peak avocado tree buying season (Late spring).

RESPONSIBILITIES

workshops / user flows & journeys / personas / prototyping / logo design & branding

the process

I was briefed to co-run a series of workshops in Gisbourne to map processes, validate personas & user journey maps and run a branding workshop.

  • Through a preparation survey, I was able to uncover the main pieces of information to create a first draft user journey map and set of personas for validation.

  • The workshops provided a solid foundation for the branding and website conceptual phase.

  • Wireframing concepts allowed us to work test that the structure and content included were going to be valuable.

  • I worked on branding for the new arm of the company to enhance and appeal to the client’s target market, along with the new logo, and also created a detailed branding guideline manual.

what I learnt from this project

Serious collaboration and relationship building allowed this project to achieve an aggressive deadline with a product that the clients love.
